SMM Builds Dormitories for FLETC

When the Department of Homeland Security in New Mexico needed a permanent dormitory on their Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, SMM was awarded the project based on their advanced knowledge of custom modular construction, ability to customize to specific needs, and successful, proven track record.

In just a little over a year’s time, SMM provided a 49,000sq ft two story modular building consisting of 70 modules, 121 dorm rooms and 142 rooms total, restrooms, a laundry room, multiple communication rooms, ice rooms and a lobby with offices and a large vestibule.

Having built the stem wall foundation, SMM then delivered and installed the modular facility on FLETC. Installation included a EFIS system, temperature maintenance cable system, utility connections and manifolding, as well as a standing seam metal roof.
