Camp Lejeune – Interim MCMH Dispensary
When the Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in North Carolina needed an interim, semi-permanent medical facility, Civil Works Contracting awarded SMM the task based on their advanced knowledge of the complexities of healthcare, ability to customize to specific needs, and successful, proven track record.
In just a little over a year’s time, SMM provided a 156’ X 60’ modular building consisting of 16 exam rooms, two treatment rooms, two consultation rooms, a medical records office, and multiple standard offices and support rooms such as break rooms, conference rooms, restrooms, locker rooms, a communications room, storage space and a waiting area all with the appropriate finishes.
Having built the foundations, SMM then delivered and installed the modular facility on Marine Corps Base Camp grounds. Installation included ADA-compliant decks, steps and ramps, gutters and downspouts, utility connections and manifolding, and a fire sprinkler system with mass notification capabilities.
